Calling Albuquerque, New Mexico her stage, this dedicated Singer/Songwriter harmonizes her melodies with life-saving missions. Lani isn't just a leader; she's the Chief Rescuer, Heart and Soul Caretaker, and Devoted Protector of our four-legged friends. She orchestrates a haven where respect for animals resonates deeply, and the pursuit for compassionate adoptions never skips a beat. Envision a world where every homeless pet secures a loving, dignified abode—Lani does, and she's making it happen, one rescue at a time at Cross My Paws. Jane Sheraden, Secretary
Jane Sheraden, a true Compassionate Guardian emanates warmth and dedication. Trained as a pediatric oncology nurse, her nurturing spirit transcends humanity, advocating fiercely for animal rescue. An honored graduate from the University of New Mexico, Jane's healing prowess extends beyond hospital walls to the open arms of nature where she rehabilitates and trains dogs. With her partner, she offers a mountaintop sanctuary to her furry family, including Cross My Paws alumni. Her experienced hand in non-profit leadership and organizational skills makes her an indispensable asset to Cross My Paws. Her laughter and steadfast commitment cultivate hope and transformation, weaving a global tapestry of compassion. Stephanie Errickson, Operations Coordinator
Stephanie brims with a fervent zeal for fur pals and an unwavering commitment to community transformation. With her rich expertise in training and management, she's a graduate from The University of New Mexico with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, and she boasts a Master’s in Organizational Management from The University of Arizona Global Campus. Her heart beats for not only her loving family and three cuddly canines—Rico, Tesla, and Piper—but also for the adrenaline rush of off-road adventures.
At the core of her vibrant life, Stephanie's passion fuels Cross My Paws Animal Rescue’s mission, propelling our awareness campaigns and fostering robust community networking that echoes the call for pet adoption. Bringing boundless energy and strategic savvy, she's a torchbearer for positive change and a beacon of hope for our furry friends awaiting their forever homes.
Lauri Lineweaver, President
Lauri Lineweaver is a nurse executive and policy advocate. Her professional career includes leading efforts to open hospitals, implement patient safety programs, installing large integrated software, and providing mentoring to other healthcare professionals. In addition to her professional experience, she has extensive experience in founding and growing non-profit organizations.
Lauri has never been without at least one animal (often more) in her life. She has fostered for multiple agencies and is deeply dedicated to finding every animal a loving home where they are the center of their humans' hearts. She joined Cross My Paws as President to lend a strong business background to the organization with a focus on developing and executing a comprehensive strategic plan that supports the mission of this grassroots organization.
Dr. Kacie Martin, DVM - Vice President
Meet Dr. Kacie Martin, a fervent Animal Advocate and dedicated veterinarian with a heart for rescuing the voiceless. Her boundless empathy shines brightest when championing Homeless Pets and strays. With Albuquerque as her home base, she tirelessly provides care and vaccinations for pets of the homeless, channeling her expertise where it's needed most. Beyond New Mexico, Kacie’s zeal for animal welfare has propelled her to international missions of mercy, offering healing hands and hope. Dr. Martin is an integral part of our family at Cross My Paws, where her remarkable talent and unwavering passion bring new beginnings to neglected animals. She embodies the essence of our mission — to ensure every rescue basks in the love of a forever home. Together, we celebrate the inherent worth of our four-legged friends, nurturing their path to a joyous life.
Nanette (Nan) Fluke, Assistant to Executive Director
Nan is an impassioned Animal Rescue hero and Lifelong Advocate based in Albuquerque. Her remarkable 35-year tenure championing the wellbeing of mentally and physically challenged children has honed her nurturing spirit, which she extends wholeheartedly to our furry friends. Not only is she a dedicated caretaker to an array of rescued birds and bunnies, but her heart is equally open to equine companions.
Courtney Etherington, Fundraising Coordinator
Courtney, a vibrant New Mexico native and communication expert with a heart dedicated to advocacy, brings a wealth of experience to the Cross My Paws team. Holding a Bachelor’s degree from the University of New Mexico, her decade-long tenure at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society honed her fundraising and event prowess. A champion for animal rescue, Courtney's mission is a future where every creature has a loving sanctuary. Her strategy? Spearheading dynamic fundraising and spay/neuter initiatives that are the lifeblood of pet adoption success. When she's not trailblazing for our furry friends, Courtney is an adventure-seeker, trail-hiking with her family, exploring creativity through art, and nurturing life’s joy with those she cherishes. Her enthusiasm is the spark behind Cross My Paws' goal to educate, inspire, and create compassionate homes for our cherished rescues.
Liz Smith, Treasurer
With over 15 years of experience in the medical field and 8 years in leadership, Liz brings a strong background in financial and project management, combined with a deep passion for animal welfare. Holding a Bachelor's degree in Business and Marketing from NMSU and a Master's in IT Project Management from WGU, Liz possesses a unique blend of strategic and operational expertise. Throughout her career, she has honed skills in managing projects and optimizing financial resources to achieve organizational goals effectively.
As a dedicated animal lover, particularly of dogs, Liz is driven to use her leadership and management experience to make a meaningful impact to Cross My Paws. Her love for animals is matched by her enthusiasm for staying active, which fuels her drive to lead initiatives that improve the lives of both animals and the communities that support them.
